As much as I love my taking stock posts for the time it gives me to reflect on what’s been happening in my world…
there are months when it’s really difficult to fill in the prompts!
I’m at a point in my life where I am quite content with where I am, and what I am doing.
I don’t want, need or lust after anything – apart from maybe a good heirloom variety of vegetable seed 😁
Making: yoghurt from scratch… there’s something satisfying about making food from scratch – and it tastes so much better too!
Cooking: up the last of the zucchinis into frittatas… thank the stars they’re done for the season. I do think it’s possible to have too many zucchinis!!
Drinking: Ginger Myrtle and Peppermint Licorice teas from Aletheia Apothecary – absolutely divine
Reading: a bit of Stephen King and The Reset Kitchen from Dr. Mindy Pelz and Bonnie Carlson
Wanting: my shoulder to hurry up and heal… things to do!
Looking: forward to catching up with old friends who we haven’t seen in far too long
Playing: with late afternoon light through the kitchen window
Deciding: what photos to include in the print-your-own section of the online shop
Wishing: the retaining wall could be finished sooner, so I can get the chicken coop, compost bays and fruit trees in
Enjoying: the time I got to spend with my Girl
Waiting: for my latest kimono to arrive… I think I might have a new staple in my wardrobe
Liking: the new boards on the front verandah
Wondering: when the shit will truly hit the fan globally
Loving: time spent in my garden… growing your own food is such a blessing to be able to do
Pondering: the future of Humanity
Considering: getting a new pair of jeans… the weather is turning into jeans weather
Watching: always have something on the go…
Hoping: to spend more time with family and friends this year
Marveling: at the little birds that hop around the grass picking at bugs
Needing: thicker socks… the floor is cold this morning
Smelling: freshly washed sheets… love some clean linen
Wearing: socks… the floors are starting to cool down and I like having warm feet
Following: what is happening in the world…
Noticing: that more and more folk are starting to wake up to what is happening in the world…
Knowing: that I am no longer alone
Thinking: about my to-do list and what I need to prioritise for the day
Feeling: frustrated that I have to ask for help for things I would usually do myself…
Admiring: the beauty of Nature… She really does know what she’s doing
Sorting: through cupboards and tidying them up
Buying: another book on herbs – this time Rosemary Gladstar’s Medicinal Herbs
Getting: frustrated on a daily basis, that I can’t do what I want/need with my shoulder
Bookmarking: the last page I read in my book
Disliking: opinionated people who don’t do their own research, but instead regurgitate soundbites
Opening: up to the possibilities
Giggling: at my kids and their antics
Snacking: on a teaspoon of coconut oil when I feel like I want to reach for sugar
Coveting: nothing at all… I have all I could possibly need or want right now
Hearing: the sound of rain on the roof… much needed by many
with peace, love and light,
Tasha xo
