that’s how it has been in my house
And as much as is it frustrating and sucks big time, it has also been another period of enforced rest and reflection.
So, here goes with taking stock #17.
Making: no plans at all, because the best laid of them have been coming unstuck
Cooking: what’s cooking!? Both the Boy and I are off our food at the moment, so Husband (when he has been home) has been doing quite a lot of cooking because he needs to eat
Drinking: my viral tea. Which sounds weird! Lots of good herbs to help move the viral load from my body = viral tea
Reading: The Women’s Brain Book by Dr. Sarah McKay. It’s really interesting reading – our brains, bodies, and hormones are intricate and intriguing
Wanting: that holiday still
Looking: forward to being able to spend a weekend with my Girl… it’s been too long between visits
Playing: with paint
Deciding: that I’m going to go and prune some roses while the weather is nice
Wishing: for those answers still
Enjoying: the sunshine on the front verandah and watching my prayer flags flutter in the wind
Waiting: for our next doctors’ appointment to ask a bunch of questions
Liking: cool nights and warm afternoons
Wondering: if we will ever get our health on any sort of even keel… despite all of the work we are doing, it feels like we were dunked in a truly shitty gene pool
Loving: watching the birds at the feeder morning and afternoon
Pondering: where to next?
Considering: putting in wicked garden beds for our vege garden this year… water is such a precious commodity, as is our vege garden, so I need a way to conserve water but still have a bumper crop
Watching: The Originals on Netflix. It’s the second time I’ve watched this series because I am such a vampire-genre tragic and love the characters!
Hoping: for some guidance
Marveling: at how lazy some people are… seriously, do your job
Needing: that holiday still
Smelling: dust… it is so seriously dry
Wearing: all black – my uniform
Following: along with nothing still… it’s so nice to not be caught up in the goings-on of the world
Noticing: that the birds at the feeder are fussy little buggers… they leave a particular seed behind each and every time
Knowing: that one day we will get on top of our health
Thinking: about next week… trial HSC exams for the Boy
Feeling: tired again
Admiring: the resilience of our community
Sorting: through magazines to donate to the school library
Buying: wicked garden beds and light fixtures… why is having a house so damned expensive!?
Getting: on with it
Bookmarking: ideas to share on my photography Facebook page
Disliking: honestly, not much of anything lately…
Opening: up my chakras
Giggling: told you before, I don’t giggle
Snacking: on a delicious nut butter cacao fudge I made on the weekend. You only need the smallest piece
Coveting: a weekend with my Girl
Wishing: for a good week to come
Hearing: my birds cracking open seeds as they’ve come in for their afternoon feed
Hope all is well in your world. Take care and much love,
Tasha
