It is easy to not notice the objects around us, particularly when they are familiar.
The challenge to myself this morning? To look for the beauty contained in my everyday, familiar life.

Like most of the rest of the world, I’ve fallen in love with succulents.
I’ve also challenged myself to collect as many different varieties as I can, often swapping cuttings with friends and my Daughter (who is also a mad plant lady!). I’ve even been known to ever-so-discreetly snap leaves off plants as I walk past… just don’t tell anyone!!
Even though my succulents are familiar to me, I definitely notice them on a regular basis. It was fun to photograph them with flash though… making their colour and texture pop and shine…
