how often do you revisit your old work?

To be honest, I don’t usually go back further than 12 months.
So, when I had to look back over my body of work back to 2011, it was an interesting experience…

old images are a window to the past, and an opportunity to learn more about your growth as an artist

Your archives are a record of the evolution of your skills.
When I look at the images presented in this post, I remember my love of the golden glow of the late afternoon sun… the moments of peace and solitude stolen in my mother-in-law’s garden… and an eagerness to capture the image in camera.

My style has changed significantly with the years, but looking back, I realise I’ve not only grown as an artist, but my images were actually pretty darn good – even if I do say so myself.

The vibrant colours are so different from my current style, but there’s something magical about them, all the same.

Do you have a favourite?

with peace, love and light,
