Jewelry takes people’s minds off your wrinkles.
~Sonja Henie
The older I get, the more my taste in jewellery is changing.
Once upon a time, I used to go for the flashy, in-your-face designs – you know, the ones that you could see from 100 metres down the street. The bigger and bolder, the better!
Now ( as I approach my ’40’s *gasp* ;P ) my jewellery has become much more understated.
Simplicity is key. Less is more.
I still love the unusual – you just have to look at my Urban Chic and Copper Bangles – to see that. Simple doesn’t have to be boring.
So, what does your jewellery style say about you?
Has your style changed with your age?
Or are you just trying to hide your wrinkles??
My style is all over the place – depending on my mood. Eclectic, I guess would describe it. Sometimes, I go for something very simple, other times very bold.
Great article.

I know what you mean about your mood dictating your style, Michele.
Thanks for the compliment!!

I always went for understatement, but I like unusual even more now that I make jewelry myself.
A friend of mine who is goldsmith keeps trying to convince me that big and bold would suit me, but so far I went for only one ring.
I love the quote!
I quite the fan of unusual myself Cat, but simple seems to rein supreme in my necklace collection.
Would love to see your big, bold ring!!
Cheers,
Tasha
