Time to start organizing what you’ll be eating and drinking over the Silly Season (without overdoing it, of course!)
I’ve never made this Peppermint Hot Chocolate before, but it sounds easy enough.
All you need is:
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1.4 litres (1 quart) milk
1/2 cup (3 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
7 peppermint sticks – 3 crushed (1/4 cup), 4 left whole
pinch of salt
You’ll find the directions for mixing it all here at MarthaStewart.com.
Bonus tip from me… whenever I make hot chocolate for the kids, I put it in our milk frother (like this one) and add light, frothy loveliness to the top, that they then scoop up with a spoon. Don’t have a milk frother but want the bubbles? Try giving your hot chocolate a whisk!

Omnomnom that sounds good! Like, even better than the Cadbury’s stuff. Definitely on my must-try list!! Thanks for sharing 😀
Bekky, can’t wait to get to my Sister’s and try this one out with her! Might even add a nip of something ‘naughty’… *tee-hee*
Let me know if / when you try it out and what you think!
Cheers,
T xo
Ohhh yes yes, naughty, yes very good! Hmm well I think I need to duck down to the shops and fetch supplies 😉 I’ll get back to you with the outcome!
