When your neighbour invites you to pop over and pick a few dahlias to photograph, you take them at their word!
and such a magnificent dahlia it is
I visit with my elderly neighbour every other weekend or so, to keep her company and to check in to make sure she is doing okay.
We were talking about how magnificent her dahlia flowers were this year, and how mine hadn’t flowered due to being buried under a pile of old house cladding that we’re going to recycle into a feature fence.
“Just come and pick them whenever you want!”, she said to me…
needless to say, I came home with arms full of dahlias
