“It was a day to be inside somewhere, cosseted and loved; by a warm fireside with the clatter of friendly cups and saucers, a sleepy cat licking his paws, a cyclamen in a pot on a windowsill putting forth new buds.”

~ Daphne Du Maurier

it’s definitely a day to be inside somewhere

As the weather reminds me it’s Winter, a cyclamen bloom – borrowed from the magnificent specimen that resides on my neighbours back verandah – has kept me occupied in my warm Studio.

As I turn it and study it, I am struck even more by how a flower has a face… a front to show the world, in all of its beauty.

And in turn, an arse… while not as glorious, and a little bit ugly, still beautiful in its own way.

If you love these flowers photos as much as I do, please share them with a friend.
