When I get old, I want to be just like Dame Helen and Dame Judi.
Acting my age, looking my age, and bloody proud of it!
What sparked this?
An article in the Sydney Morning Herald – Helen Mirren and the Art of Ageing Gracefully.
The phrase “Growing Old Gracefully” is starting to be over-used, in my opinion. “Embracing your grey”… maybe.
I just see it as a natural progression in a woman’s life. Youth and beauty… followed by age and wisdom.
No nips and tucks, plumping injections or hair colouring for me.
It will be sags and wrinkles and grey, grey, grey.
And I’m going to wear them with pride.
