As a self-confessed neat-freak this one is not a stretch for me.
Which is a good thing, because I’ve been busy hanging out with the kids and Husband doing as much nothing much as we can.
Clutter is stressful though, and if you can’t see the kitchen bench for stuff then now’s as good a time as any to tackle it. The trick is to not tackle the whole house at once – do it one drawer, one shelf, one room at a time.
One rule I’ve always found handy is the One In, One Out rule – something has to leave the house before a new thing can take its place. Sometimes you have to be a little ruthless about it, but it definitely reduces the amount of ‘stuff’ that accumulates.
And seeing as everyone is on holidays at the moment (and I bet there’s been an “I’m bored.” thrown in there somewhere!), then everyone gets to play along with the Let’s Clean House game!
Have at it!!
