I had the distinct pleasure of (finally!) meeting Jess of Epheriell Designs, and her husband Nick, this week.

Jess is the talent behind my blog redesign, and while we’ve traded many emails and chatted on the phone a few times, there’s nothing quite like putting an actual name to the face and voice.

Their one night stay turned in to two due to the awful flooding in SE Queensland.  Thankfully family and friends of both of us are safe and dry enough.

So what do two creative types get up to when they get together?

Lots of chatter about our respective creative careers, dreams and ambitions… trading stories about growing up (and finding out that we knew people and places in common – talk about a small world!)… discussions on our favourite authors, both online and on paper… a wander of the local antique and craft shops… wine, yummy cheese, good food and lots more chatter… some baking (thanks Nick for taking on the kids!)… computer tech-talk… and a little bit of joining the kids for some trampoline fun!
